Exciting things are happening at AUMC.....
Feel like participating but don't know where to start or what to do? Check out our groups and find something that fits your style:
The Chancel Choir is on hold for the time being while we restructure and recruit more members. We hope to begin a new choir in the new year. If you are interested in singing in a choir, please e-mail Virginia Yates music@arlingtonumc.com with your interest so that you can be a part of the planning process.Instead, we are looking for solo singers and singers who would like to sing ensemble pieces and help lead hymns during the worship service. If you are interested in singing in this capacity, please contact Virginia Yates music@arlingtonumc.com and she will get everything set up so that you too can bless us with your music.
Faith Renaissance Praise Team
The Faith Renaissance Praise Team rehearses once a month on the last Sunday of each month from 2:00 - 5:00 pm in the Choir Room to create the upcoming month's song sets. Then, the team meets before each service at 8:30 am to rehearse the specific songs for that Sunday's service. For more information about Faith Renaissance and how you can be involved during this transitional time, e-mail Virginia Yates at music@arlingtonumc.com
***We are actively seeking a drummer, more guitarists, and additional singers***
Musicians and vocalists work together to support the weekly Faith Renaissance contemporary worship service and the New Creations Cafe.
Kids Club Choir
We begin with singing, and incorporate sign language and instruments to help your children participate and learn music, and continue with lesson time and craft time, to give your children a chance to fully engage in worship while you have the chance to have your own time of study and prayer.
The Kids Club choir also has opportunities to sing for all our communities and put on church-wide productions, giving your children a chance to truly be a partner in worship.
Church Orchestra
3rd Sunday of the Month, September - June
Rehearsals are held at 9:30 am prior to worship.

The Hunter Hand Bell Choir
Our hand bell choir plays occasionally for special services throughout the year. We are currently looking for people who might be interested in participating in a handbell choir on a regular basis. No music reading skills necessary, just two hands, and a willingness to have fun learning how to count rhythms. Different groups will be offered to accommodate different levels of abilities and children are also welcome to learn how to play.
